biography
"

BJ was born and raised in deep south Mississippi, just about a mile from the Gulf Of Mexico. He is 26 years old and loves the Lord. He lived on the Bayou known as Bayou Cumbest all his life as a young boy growing up. He is now married to his lovely wife Christina who he has known for 8 years, and has been married to at four years. Then along came a precious little baby girl who has changed and made their life's worth living for, and her name is Christiana Faith. BJ has always loved music coming up as a child, and has been surrounded by it all his life. It was pretty much laid in his lap, because that was all that was going on at his house or an uncle's house or some family gathering. Well his first instrument he ever learned how to play was the pots, and pans, but then later a real drum set. He beat and banged on them until he learned how to keep a good beat, and until he was able to play for his home church. He played about 6 to 7 years at his home church until God gave him another talent. That was playing the Acoustic Rhythm guitar, he strummed and banged on the guitar until he could make something sound good, but his daddy showed him how to make a couple of chords, and then BJ took it a step further and started looking at books, and on the internet and learned more. While at the same time he was trying to learn the guitar , he learned how to write a song, and sing all at the same time. While learning how to write, play , and sing he just kept on, and on until he started writing more and more songs to try to better himself. BJ grew up in a church in Grand Bay, AL known as the Grand Bay Church Of God. He has lived in a Christian home ever since birth, and was raised with strong Christian backgrounds, and morals. However, at the same time he was learning to play guitar, sing, and write he started singing country music, and started writing country music. BJ knows that's not what God wanted him to do. While it rocked on for about 4 years he continued to write country songs, and sing them , but never sang one country song in public during that time. Never once has he stood in a bar , or a honkey tonk, but often been asked to sing, but always refused. Mainly he kept it hidden behind his four walls but God knew. Now BJ is doing all he can to please God now by writing nothing but Southern Gospel. He turned his country style he loved the most and made it his own style and that is country gospel, what he loves the most. His biggest influence is his daddy who is also a songwriter, and his songwriter partner. His daddy has been writing songs since he was 18 years old so that's where BJ gets his will to wanting to write and sing his own music. BJ knows with out God he couldn't write the music he does. He wants to uplift Christ and spread his word with melody, rhyme, and lyric to this lost and dying world. BJ produced , mixed and recorded his first project out of his home titled "Where I found his saving grace", that took 13 months to record. Well after completing his first project he released his first radio single titled " I can't make it on my own" written by BJ and his daddy Michael Walters, took the song to 62 on the official national chart and was in June 2008 Singing News Magazine Top 80. Until next time please pray for BJ , Christina, and Christiana own that straight and narrow way to please GOD with every thing they can. Keep them in your prayers.
